I would like to genuinely send out my heart felt best wishes to any couple who are in a position whereby they are having to postpone or cancel their wedding day...
Understandably you’re worried about not only your own individual wedding plans in terms of postponement or cancellation but also the health and safety of your family and friends too, unfortunately no-one knows what’s going to happen or how long this situation will take for us all to resume a touch of normality, so the best we can do is try to find our way through this unprecedented situation together.
Here are a few questions I have been asked lately and hopefully will put your mind at ease:
Hi Andy, We are in a position whereby we will be postponing our wedding due to Coronavirus, we love your work, are you able to be the photographer for our new date?
In a short answer: YES!!!
I aim to move any cancelled or postponed weddings to the new date of the clients choosing providing I have the date available, unfortunately if I am un-available for the new selected date I will be unable to photograph the new date, I do however work closely with other trusted suppliers and will assist you in finding a replacement.
Hi Andy, You have agreed to change our wedding date, do we owe you an additional booking fee / deposit?
No - I will be transferring your booking fee over to your new date, therefore will not be asking for any additional booking fee / deposit payments.
Hi Andy, We are cancelling our wedding due to Coronavirus, do we owe you any money to cancel?
No - Fortunately with me there are no further additional payments required, I will cancel your booking with immediate effect and wish you farewell & good luck in the future.
Hi Andy, We have decided to change our date & venue due to Coronavirus, can you photograph at our new venue?
Absolutely, Once again providing I have your new chosen date then a change of venue is fine and there are generally no travel costs associated with my packages.
Hi Andy, The venue have cancelled our wedding due to the Coronavirus and we've decided to temporarily put it on hold, we will probably come back to you but just not sure yet when this will be?
No problem, if you would like to check my availability before your confirm your new date I will happily move your booking to your new date free of charge.
I hope you and your loved ones stay safe during this unprecedented situation and hopefully the above will go somewhere to answering your questions or concerns and putting your mind at rest, however please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss your own individual requirements and we can hopefully get through this together - firstname.lastname@example.org
